OUR STORY

The Dalí Llama, First of Her Line, heard what no one else could: the cosmos was off-key. So She called her guardians and gave them one task, raise the frequency.

They've been raising it ever since.

Sound healing at dawn. Drums at dusk. Dancing until the frequency holds.

And once a year, during the Procession, the Dalí Llama is carried across the playa, because deities don't walk, they arrive. And the cosmos remembers what it sounds like when everything is in tune.

Nothing here is performed for you. Everything unfolds with you.

Somewhere in the cosmos, there's a frequency only you can carry. The Dalí Llama thinks you might be the missing note.

Service

You're not a guest here. The camp is yours — which means the work is too. You build it, run it, and leave the desert cleaner than you found it. That's not obligation. That's devotion.

Discovery

You're not here just to attend. You're here to be changed. Every offering, every ceremony, every llama you meet is part of that. Come open. Leave different than you arrived.

Camaraderie

No passengers. Every llama carries their own weight and each other's. From pre-burn prep to the last night on the playa — the cosmic holds because you hold your piece.

What the camp provides

Your camp dues go toward the shared infrastructure that makes Cosmic Llamas work—meals, shade, power, water, and the spaces we build together.

This page outlines what the camp provides so you know what’s handled collectively.

Just as important: there are things we don’t provide.

Burning Man runs on participation and self-reliance, and every camper is expected to take care of their own ticket, transportation, and personal setup, while contributing to camp life.

What you’re responsible for

  • Secure your own Burning Man ticket.

  • Handle your transportation to and from the playa (including your gear.)

  • Arrive by Sunday and stay through strike (no early exits.)

  • Show up and participate in camp life.

  • Come prepared — don’t rely on others for your essentials.

  • Keep our space clean (Leave No MOOP, aka TRASH.)

  • Show up for communal dinners.

  • Help with pre-playa prep, on-playa tasks, and strike so the workload is shared.

  • Making your burn the best ever and having fun in the process.

If that balance sounds right to you, you’ll feel at home here 😊

Cosmic Llama is a Burning Man camp built entirely by its members.

We make our own robes, build the temple before the gates open, and run sound healings, drum circles, and dance parties that keep the cosmic frequency in balance.

When it's over, we stay until the desert looks like we were never there.

We hold reverence and irreverence in the same hoof.

We take the work seriously and ourselves not at all.

If this sounds less like a camp and more like home, come join us.
